TBT | Printing T.O.F.U.

Image contains a photo of a person holding a large sheet of black paper. In the centre of the paper, there is a yellow circle that looks like Pac-Man and some text above it. Behind the person, there are evergreen trees and snow.

Although the magazine itself hasn't been commercially printed in a long time, that hasn't stopped readers from doing it themselves. Read More »

T.O.F.U. #15 | A Giveaway

Image contains a light orange-red background with two book covers tilted vertically away from the centre of the image. On the left, the first cover contains a black background with a yellow circular object coming up from the bottom of the frame. A visible wedge portion of the object is missing from its centre, and it looks like a mouth. Above the object, there are two blocks of text. The larger one, just below the middle of the image, says "Making Change". The word "Making" is in white, and the word "Change" is in orange. The smaller block of text below says "Will simply eating all the vegan things" in one line and "save the world?" in another. The words "save the world?" are in orange. Just above the text, there is a small brown piece of what looks like ground beef. At the very top of the image, there is text that says "T.O.F.U." in white, and within that text there is more text that says "T.O.F.U. Magazine". The word “T.O.F.U.” is in orange. Just below the white T.O.F.U., there is text that says "Issue 15 Capitalism November 2019”. On the right, the second cover contains a pale yellow background with a small section looking similar to snake skin with darker yellow patches. Above this image, the words "Veganism Sex and Politics” are written in bold white letters with a black border near the top. Below this, the words "tales of danger and pleasure" are written in a smaller black font made to look like handwriting. On the bottom, the author’s name, C Lou Hamilton is written in green.

WAIW | Restricted by Facebook

Photo contains a man with a beard looking directly at the camera. From the right-hand side, a hand and arm can be seen, and the hand is covering the man's mouth.

After over a decade of running a Facebook page, T.O.F.U. has never had any direct issues with the company. That changed last Saturday, and it came at a pretty terrible time. Read More »

T.O.F.U. #15 | Meet the Vegan Artists

Image contains three even columns with illustrations in each. The first is an illustration of a red tree with leaves. At the base of the tree, grey stick figures of various sizes can be seen holding their arms up to form the structure of the tree. The feet of the figures go into the ground and can be seen as roots below. In the background, there are fields with rows of crops. The second is an illustration of a pair of hands working to plant a plant in some soil, and there is a brown picket fence in the background. The third is a black and white illustration of a silhouette of person's head. The top of their head is opened up and there are a number of illustrated things coming out of it. The biggest is a white hand holding a flower, but there are also various smaller plants, signs of gender, and stick figures of people. On the silhouette's face, there is text that says "e commo thread... comm".
