The Merch is Almost Ready!

With the magazines, posters and Behind the Scenes all done and ready to hit the road, the only other thing to do is to make merch, right?

Well, that’s just what I’m doing. Shirts and hoodies, in a very limited amount, should be ready at the end of today. In case that’s not enough, there will be buttons as well! Yup, if you’re going to do something, you might as well do it way past a reasonable limit just to see how far you can go. Expect pictures later this week of all the glorious things.

Oh yeah, we confirmed a few new dates and more are to come. Not much longer now…

The magazines, Behind the Scenes, and the tour posters currently rest behind me. I also have numerous envelopes stuffed with various things that need to go out in the mail to help spread the good word.
I’m tired.

Filling in the Blanks

I keep making little lists for each day to try and keep things moving, but sometimes things move from one list to the next day, and then that list ends up far too big. I’m stuck on a few things right now, but at least the magazine, Behind the Scenes, and the posters are on the printer’s plate instead of mine. I only have to book the tour, set-up press releases, find local acts and organizations, think of what I need to bring, save money, try to concentrate on my day job, and keep from jumping up and down when I think about how much of the continent I am about to see out of a van/car/station wagon (yeah, we need to book the car rental too) window.

Off to see Michou play Gus’ Pub as a welcome break to sitting in front of this little box. Both Amanda and I hate computers, but we’re accepting that we need to spend this much time on them so we can take a month off from everything and do what we really want to do… meet exciting people.

Behind the Scenes

Tomorrow is the day when I end up surrounded in my bedroom by boxes of things that have been living in my head for so long. Yes, the magazine is one of them, but there is another smaller item that most people do not know about.

As if a new issue of the magazine is not enough, I’m also going to be releasing a book of poetry written by me over the past five to six years. Called Behind the Scenes it is as close as I have come to producing something that I would consider art, and I’m hoping someone somewhere finds beauty in it. That being said, I’m also looking for people to tell me it is terrible because only hearing good things from close friends is not the same as hearing all things from strangers. At least if some people tell me it is bad I know not everyone is just being nice.
