Yeah, I'm expecting lots of stir fries for the first while. I've heard there is a Loving Hut in Daegu, but I'm not a big fan of the religious connection. Otherwise, I'm working with at least two veg folk who have been there for some time, so hopefully they've figured out some of the havens when I don't want to cook at home!

Being vegetarian in Korea is really difficult, let alone going vegan. Even kimchi is usually made with some sort of fish or oyster sauce.

The good news is that if you find a good supermarket fresh vegetables and fruit are usually quite cheap.

Good luck!
